JMB Official Measurement Service
We offer an official JMB measuring service at our Nodwood House site on the East Hampshire/Surrey border, which is a registered measuring pad.
Lucy Cheetham is our JMB Official Measurer, and is happy to explain what is involved during the measuring procedure and any rules and regulations.
Payments for JMB measurements need to be made through their website. They will then give you a transaction code and notify us.
An appointment can then be made for the measurement, as we will need the transaction code from you when we do this.
Official measurements are submitted and recorded by us, and will then be listed and can be viewed on the JMB whttp://thejmbonline.co.ukebsite.
Horses and ponies need to have a registered name, a passport, a microchip and their shoes removed before any measurement.
It’s a good idea to practise measuring at home, so that horses and ponies get used to being touched by the measuring stick on their withers and are trained to stand squarely and still until relaxed.
If you are thinking of competing in affiliated competitions for showing, show jumping or pony racing and need to get your horse or pony measured, please study the guidelines on the JMB website.
Horses and ponies aged four, five or six years old will need to be measured by different measurers, in different years and be over seven years old with one annual height certificate to attain a full height measurement.
