Pre-purchase examinations

The aim of this thorough veterinary examination or 'vetting' is to assess the suitability of a particular horse for its intended use and hence to allow the buyer to make an informed decision regarding its purchase.

The examination is carried out using a standard 5-stage format, although limited (2-stage) vettings are also available.

Ancillary tests such as radiography, ultrasonography or endoscopy can be performed on site if requested by the purchaser, advised by the attending veterinary surgeon or dictated by the prospective insurer.

We will travel locally, nationally and internationally to examine horses on behalf of a prospective buyer.
