Routine Surgeries

Routine Surgeries

As an ambulatory practice, we can perform a number of routine surgical procedures, including:

  • Castration – This can be done under standing sedation and local anaesthesia, or if circumstances require it, under a field general anaesthetic, often necessitated by small patient size or temperament.

  • Mass removal.

  • Wound repair.

  • Dental surgery – oral extractions of wolf teeth, cheek teeth and incisors under standing sedation and local anaesthetic.

  • Biopsies – Typically of skin lesions, but also of muscle fibres and the liver as part of more complex medical investigations.

  • Enucleation – often as a result of trauma or of chronic non-responsive ocular conditions such as uveitis.
