Mobile Ultrasound
Our portable ultrasound scanners are very versatile machines, all of them can be used for imaging soft tissue structures of orthopaedic interest such as tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints.
We have ultrasound scanners capable of performing abdominal scans, which can be useful in the investigation of colic, weight-loss and diarrhoea.
These are also used to assess the chests of horses when investigating cases of respiratory disease, both in adult horses and foals.
Our ultrasound scanners enable us to better assess the internal structures of a horse’s eyes in ophthalmology investigations.
We have several scanners capable of producing high quality, trans-rectal images of reproductive organs.
We rely on these to accurately assess ovarian cycles and aid the timing of insemination, pregnancy scanning and investigation of poor fertility. These also allow us to investigate abnormal hormonal behaviours.
We also have an ultrasound scanner capable of performing highly detailed cardiac images and measurements, as part of cardiology investigations and work-ups.
Most of our ultrasound scanners are battery powered, meaning we can use them anywhere
