Pre-Purchase Examinations
Thorough veterinary examinations (or vettings) aim to assess the suitability of a particular horse for its intended use, and to allow the buyer to make an informed decision regarding the purchase.
The examination is carried out using a standardised five-stage format, although limited (two-stage) vettings are also available.
Ancillary tests such as radiography, ultrasonography or endoscopy can be performed on-site if requested by the purchaser, advised by the attending veterinary surgeon or dictated by the prospective insurer.
We travel locally, nationally and internationally to examine horses on behalf of prospective purchasers.
